Hornsea Museum​

 

Based in an 18th Century farmhouse, this award-winning museum depicts the changing patterns of village life over the past centuries.

 

Here you’ll also find an exhibition of Hornsea Pottery, and have the opportunity learn more about this famous pottery and what it means to the people of the town.

Honeysuckle Farm​

 

This working farm and petting zoo is located just outside Hornsea and is open from March to September each year.

 

Children can pet the animals, learn about farm life, sample the delicious home-made ice cream or take a shire horse cart ride around the farm. And never mind the weather – Honeysuckle Farm has a huge indoor play area with bales of straw for children to climb on and explore.

Hornsea Seafront​

 

Grab some fish and chips and take in the fresh seaside air. Buy a bucket and spade and join the sandcastle enthusiasts, or enjoy a stroll along the seafront.

 

As free entertainment for all the family, days out don’t come more traditional than this England beach resort.

Hornsea Mere​

 

Yorkshire’s largest freshwater lake, formed at the end of the Ice Age, makes the perfect setting for a stroll or boat ride.

 

The picturesque lake is a paradise for bird lovers with a variety of wintering waterfowl and passage migrants paying regular visits.

Wassand Hall​

 

A spectacular Regency House overlooking Hornsea Mere, Wassand Hall enjoys beautiful walled gardens, a woodland walk and half-mile park walk.

 

The hall itself contains a collection of 18th and 19th century paintings and portraits of past owners of Wassand Hall and their relations; a collection of English and European silver, furniture and porcelain from the same period.

 

A number of outdoor events take place during the summer months.

Baby Changing

There are clearly signposted Baby Changing facilities in Beach Cove and the toilets adjacent to reception.

 

Car Parking

We have two large public car parks and two allocated disabled car parks. There is no charge for car parking.

 

Shopmobility

At Hornsea Freeport you can have free use of a wheelchair for the duration of your visit to the shopping centre these are available from reception.

 

Security

We employ a 24hr security team. All our Security Officers are SIA (Security Industry Authority) licensed. For your safety and security, CCTV cameras operate in the centre and surrounding land. If you need any assistance, please approach a member of the security team who can be located throughout the centre or in reception.

Dog friendly

We are a dog friendly shopping centre with some stores allowing dogs in, we also have water bowls around the village and plenty of seating.
